MEET OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD

PRESIDENT // LAURA KIRK
As President, Laura is full of knowledge about Rowing Canada Aviron, Rowing BC, the SFU Recreation department, and of course, SFU Rowing. She works to coordinate and communicate between coaches, athletes, the executive board, and SFU recreation. Her job involves a lot of organization, ensuring that the club is always up to date. On top of all this Laura also oversees her fellow exec members with fundraising, team events, recruitment, media, and everything else!


VICE PRESIDENT // JULIA KLOSSOK
As Vice President, Julia works alongside the club president to assist in coordination and communication. She is also responsible for recruitment, media, designing and ordering all team gear, and ensuring everything is approved by SFU recreation. Julia also plays an active role in organizing community engagement opportunities for the team and assists the rest of exec with fundraising and team events.
TREASURER // LEANNE FAHIE
Our Treasurer is responsible to all of SFU Rowing’s finances. Every semester they work with the fundraising manager to determine fundraising goals, and every year presents an annual financial report at the Annual General Meeting. As well as approving all club purchases, and maintaining the club’s budget, our treasurer helps the rest of the board with team events & fundraising.

SECRETARY // BRIGITA CECIC
The club Secretary is responsible for taking the official meeting notes at all board meetings. Our club bulletin board is maintained by the secretary, and every year, our secretary also updates our emergency action plan for Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion. The secretary also assists with team events & fundrasiers!

FUNDRAISING MANAGER // WILLA PEPIN
Our Fundraising Manager is responsible for planning all fundraising events for the SFU Rowing team. Working with the Treasurer to determine semester fundraising goals, the fundraising manager ensures that targets are met by planning at least one fundraiser each semester. It is their job to notify all club members of upcoming fundraisers as well as the public through advertisements.
